Yellow Scotch Bonnet is an insanely hot pepper! At 150,000-300,000 Scoville units, this pepper is 10-20 times hotter than a Jalapeno and is on par with the Habanero. This variety is a staple in Caribbean and Western African cuisine and has a fruity and tropical flavor beneath the heat that blends well in any cuisine. These are great for cooking, pickling, sauces, or having a hot pepper challenge with your friends. Just beware when handling, processing, or eating because they will get you!
****Hot peppers can be tricky to germinate and grow at home even under ideal conditions. Germination usually takes 1-3 weeks, but can take as long as a month. Maintaining high soil temperatures is extremely important and we strongly recommend using a heating mat.
