Early Wonder is an heirloom beet variety that was introduced by S.D. Woodruff & Sons in 1911, though its lineage goes back much further. It is a tasty, reliable, early maturing cultivar that is prized both for it’s greens and it’s root! They’re deep purple, slightly flattened, and mostly uniform and are perfect for pickling, canning, juicing, or slicing fresh.
