Aunt Molly’s Ground Cherry is an an old heirloom variety! These plants are sprawling, dense and extremely productive, producing hundreds of small, golden, husked fruit that fall from the plant when they’re fully mature. They have a sweet, tart and tropical flavor that is and often compared to a pineapple, though everyone has a different opinion on them. They’re perfect for pies, preserves, or eating fresh out of the garden. These are one of our favorite things to grow and the kids absolutely devour them. We are happy to be able to pass this old time heirloom down to the next generation!
